How annoying are you on Facebook?

ANNOYING.jpg

Facebook is one of the most visited sites on the internet. So marketing on Facebook is a great idea. So many people are successfully building their business with Facebook, but you need to have proper ettiquette to be successful.

NEGATIVITY

Do you ever go on Facebook and notice all the complaints and negativity? Everyone is voicing their dissatisfaction over their situations, spouses, love life, kids, jobs, etc. And what type of responses are they getting? More negative people either arguing or agreeing. Many people get caught up in the emotion and share their views. This does not create an image that will likely bring you people that would be good for your business. So when you are marketing yourself on Social Media try to stay away from the negativity.

ALL QUOTES AND VIDEOS

The next flaw I see people making, is only posting positive quotes and videos. They do generate a lot of likes and a lot of shares, but are they connecting with you? No. They are connecting to the quote. People want to see the person behind the business. They want to know if they relate to you. Relate to what you like and what you talk about. Share yourself, your ideas, your inspirations. Let them know who you are.

SPAMMING WITH THEIR BUSINESS

I see people spamming facebook with their network marketing company. Every post or every other post they do is promoting their business. This is a sure way to lose your friends and your family to ever connecting with you on facebook. Maybe you have a great product with great results you want to share with everyone, but do so politely. Make your advertising posts 1 out of every 10. You still get to show people what you’re excited about, but you aren’t turning them off.

KIDS, KIDS AND MORE KIDS!

Do you have any friends that only post photo's of their kids and or grandkids? Of course they are adorable. But I think they are much more adorable in moderation. If you feel the need to show everyone your beautiful babies, pick one day a week that you do so. Post them all into an album, and then people can look at all the pictures if they want to or they can just skip them. And they won't be overfilling the newsfeed.

INAPPROPRIATE???

The most shocking posts I see are the vulgar, nude, or violent images that appear on newsfeeds. Facebook as made it so simple to chose who gets to see your posts. If when you post a picture and you wouldn't want a kid to see, or a boss to see, use the privacy settings. On each post there is a setting on the right side of the date, that you can pull down to pick your audience.
