Are You Ruining Your Chances?

In the bible it says, "Life and death are in the power of the tongue...". What are you feeding your business with your words? Life or Death?

We are all guilty of some negativity and I think we all realize that we need to be positive in order to have a positive life. But we often don't realize how some of the words we chose can hold a powerful bite. I often hear from fellow network marketers, "I can't get anyone to sign up", "No one wants to try it", "Everyone says it's too expensive", "No one listens to me" or "Nobody is trying to work the business"

Now it may feel like that is the truth to the situation, but is it really? First of all these all inclusive words of No one, Everyone, Nobody, or Anyone is usually a fairly big exaggeration. So right off the bat we are telling our brain that the entire population says no. That is a lie.

The second part of what is wrong with these little phrases is even more powerful, because we are telling ourselves the obstacles are concrete. There's no room for change. What if I change "I can't get anyone to sign up", to "I love having people sign up". Just say the two phrases out loud. The second one feels happy, feels exciting. Guess which personality attracts more people? Yes, the happy excited personality. Let's try it again.. Let's change, "No one wants to try it" to "People are always excited to try a product risk free for 60 days!" Again... "Everyone says it's too expensive" to "The price is really low for the quality of the products".

Creating a mind shift is the NUMBER ONE key to success. I could go on for hours talking about this one subject. Another fellow marketer even brought it to my attention that the word hope can actually be a negative. When someone says to me, "I hope I can get someone to join me this week." I pretty much know, they will not have anyone join them this week. They are thinking no one will join them. But if they say to me, I am going to have 'so and so' join me, then I know 9 times out of 10, they will have 'so and so' join them.

Be aware of the words you are speaking into your business. You don't have to feel like you are lying to yourself, but do speak positivity.
